A New Gathering Place: Celebrating Our Pavilion
Thanks to the generosity of a dedicated and generous Marylhurst donor, we are thrilled to celebrate the completion of the pavilion, a beautiful new addition to our campus. The pavilion will serve as an important gathering space for our community, especially during the busy and joyful moments of morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. It offers a welcoming place to connect and to transition into and out of the school day, as well as opportunities for learning and sharing in this amazing space.
What has made this project especially meaningful is that it has been more than just construction; it has been an opportunity for learning. Students have watched the pavilion take shape over time, asking questions, observing the process, and gaining a deeper understanding of how something is built from the ground up. It has been both entertaining and educational, bringing real-world learning right onto our campus.
On March 31, we gathered together for a ribbon-cutting ceremony with our students to officially open the pavilion. It was a joyful moment of celebration, marking not just the completion of a structure, but the beginning of all the moments it will hold.
We are so grateful for this addition to our already beautiful campus and look forward to the many ways it will support and enrich daily life at Marylhurst.
