What We are Funding This Year

This year, we're raising funds to bring learning to life through meaningful cultural and educational experiences. Funds raised may be used for:

• Visiting museums, cultural institutions, historic sites, and other places that deepen classroom learning

• Participating in outdoor and hands-on science investigations

• Exploring experiences that broaden students' understanding of people, histories, traditions, and ideas

• Bringing visiting artists, cultural educators, storytellers, and guest speakers to Marylhurst

These experiences will spark curiosity, broaden perspectives, and help students make meaningful connections between what they're learning, their community, and the world around them.

Goal

Our goal is $20,000. Every gift, large or small, moves us closer to a safer, more engaging campus for our students.

How the Jog-a-thon Works

1. Students collect support. Students invite friends and relatives to sponsor their running on Jog-a-thon day with a fixed dollar donation.

2. We run on Friday, October 9th. Classes run during the school day. See the Class Running Schedule for times.

3. We celebrate and tally. Laps are counted, donations are totaled, and we share the impact with our community.

Tip: Use the Jog-a-thon Package that was sent home for a printable overview, a donation form, and thank-you receipts. If you need another copy there is a link above.

How You Can Help

• Support a studentwith a fixed gift or make a direct gift here

• Sign up to volunteer on Jog-a-thon day! You can find your child’s time on the class running schedule.

Why It Matters

Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. The Marylhurst School is a 501(c)(3). EIN: 93-0919339.

How do I give by check?
Make checks payable to The Marylhurst School with “Jog-a-thon” in the memo. Place the check in your child’s Jog-a-thon envelope, deliver to the front office, or mail to the school. Please deliver all Jog-a-thon envelopes to your child’s teacher on or before October 9.

What should students wear?
Comfortable clothing, running shoes, and a labeled water bottle.

What about weather?
We plan to run rain or shine. We will adjust for safety if needed and will share updates by email and on this page.

Can my employer match my gift?
Yes. Many companies match employee donations. Ask your HR team for instructions.
