2025 Jog-a-thon
We Run Together to Build Engaging Places to Play!
What a gorgeous fall day it was on Thursday, October 9, as our Marylhurst community gathered for this year’s Jog-a-thon! Under sunny skies, 113 students, teachers, and 41 volunteers came together to celebrate movement, teamwork, and the joy of the outdoors.
Thanks to our incredible volunteers, our original trail now includes two new side trails, making our whole track a quarter of a mile long! Students loved exploring the new paths as they ran alongside classmates and parent and caregiver volunteers, cheering one another on every step of the way.
This year’s Jog-a-thon supported an important goal: developing more of our outdoor spaces into intentional play spaces. Funds raised will help purchase new playground equipment, clear areas of vegetation, and replace the current ground cover with a more flexible, all-season, kid-friendly surface.
We set an ambitious goal of $20,000, and thanks to our students’ energy, our community’s generosity, and the dedication of our volunteers, we raised an amazing $16,578!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success: the volunteers who helped to create and maintain the track, those who came out to cheer and run laps, and, of course, the students whose enthusiasm made the event truly special.
