Rachel Fredricks

Before embarking on her career in education, Rachel was a Cordon Bleu-trained chef, graduating from Western Culinary Institute in Portland in 2000. She worked in downtown Portland cooking and teaching cooking classes for 8 years. Since becoming a mother, Rachel primarily focused her culinary skills on her family and making appearances on local morning TV news programs. Marylhurst has inspired Rachel to enroll at Clackamas Community College in Early Childhood Education. She is passionate about sharing her love and appreciation of The Marylhurst School and its benefits for children and the larger community.
