Celebrating Community at Our Donor Appreciation Event

On January 24th, we gathered with members of The 1972 Society and volunteers whose exceptional generosity and extraordinary service are vital to sustaining and strengthening our school community. We met at the beautiful Hyland Estates for our annual Donor Appreciation Event, a warm, welcoming afternoon celebrating the people who help make our mission possible. With sweeping vineyard views and the cozy ambiance of the tasting room, the setting provided the perfect backdrop for connecting, reflecting, and enjoying time together.

Guests enjoyed a curated tasting of Hyland Estates’ celebrated wines, paired with seasonal small bites thoughtfully prepared by Marylhurst parent, Chef Tara Lynch. From the first pour, served by Marylhurst parent Colin Eddy, Senior Vice President of Sales at NW Wine Company, alongside the Hyland team, to the last bite, the afternoon invited everyone to slow down, savor the moment, and catch up with friends old and new. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour Northwest Wine Company’s production space and learn more about the craft and care behind the winemaking process.

We extend our sincere thanks to Hyland Estates for hosting us and to every donor and volunteer who joined us. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference for our students and community. Events like this remind us how deeply Marylhurst is shaped by the care and commitment of our community.
