Victoria Sundell

Originally from the Chicago area, Victoria has lived from coast to coast as she studied Art Education and Latin American Studies at Hampshire College, then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Lewis & Clark College. She spent four years as a museum educator, creating and teaching field trips and curriculum rooted in community-based exhibitions at Five Oaks Museum, a Portland-area art and history museum. Most recently, Victoria co-taught 2nd/3rd grade for two years as a Resident Teacher at the Arbor School of Arts & Sciences while completing a Master of Arts in Teaching from Pacific University in both Elementary Education and K-12 Art. She's passionate about asking questions, evaluating sources, and considering multiple perspectives alongside her students. In addition, she loves to integrate art and design and connections with land/place into all subjects, ultimately in support of students' understanding of themselves as part of an interdependent community. Outside of school, Victoria is learning how to garden and sew. She enjoys museum visits, puzzles, and walks with her Great Pyrenees dog.
